DESCRIPTION:Volunteering during PIT Count entails conducting surveys with individuals and families experiencing homelessness. These surveys are what allow our region to gather data on our homeless population (across our 11 county area) and apply for the funding we need to make homelessness rare\, brief\, and non-recurring for our unhoused neighbors. \nThis year\, we are also providing the opportunity for those experiencing homelessness to sign up for our regional housing resource waiting list\, which is used to connect the most vulnerable members of our unhoused community to housing programs. \nYour help in this process is integral to ensuring those in our community that are in need of housing can be connected to the resources that are right for them. \nBy completing this survey\, you are agreeing to participate in collecting PIT Count surveys during this surveying window according to the needs of the county / counties you select in this survey. \n			\n				Click for More Info

SUMMARY:Help Right Here General Operations Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:In order to continue to grow our capacity and impact on homelessness in Chattanooga\, Hamilton County and the State of Tennessee\, we are in need of funding. We spent a huge amount of our time in January\, February and March moving residents\, gathering food boxes and acquiring furniture to fill their empty apartments. \nSo now\, we are playing funding catch-up. \nNon-profits are funded by grants\, contracts and donations. \nTransparency alert: most of our salaries come from donations\, or they should. Yes\, we write grants. All the time. All the time we are writing the grants. But a lot of times\, grants are project specific and not able to cover general operations needs\, like salaries\, insurance and wi-fi. \nIndividual donations from supporters like you is in large part how Help Right Here is able to provide post housing support to our former 12th & Peeples residents and continue to work toward a transitional\, micro-housing Village. \nOur goal is to raise $20\,000 by April 30\, 2024.
